2021–2022 PW/Horizons Bible study

By Merryl Blair with Suggestions for Leaders by Magdalena I. García

In this nine-lesson study, Merryl Blair explores Matthew’s genealogy of Jesus. Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary—Matthew names these women for a reason. How might Jesus have heard the stories of his grandmothers? What might the young Jesus have felt as he heard about his family? What might the stories of these women have added to his sense of identity, as part of a particular family in a particular time and place?

Though the study is available in several editions—English, ecumenical, Spanish, large-print, and audio—the audio edition is particularly helpful for those with sight impairments, those who want to enhance their study by having it read aloud, those who want to make travel time more fruitful, and others with special needs. It is a lightly abridged version with no Suggestions for Leaders. The audio edition is available as a download only.

All editions and supplements, as well as other related materials (promotional poster, pendant/charm, and workshop for leaders), are also available. Additional resources are published in Horizons magazine beginning with the Summer issue. To subscribe, click or call 866/802-3635.
