“Following the North Star: Honoring Our Abolitionists”

The USA Mission Experience inspired and informed participants in many ways. Erma Jones participated in this awareness raising trip to the Finger Lakes Region of New York, and was moved by accounts of the region’s brave and faithful abolitionists. Read her reflection to learn more about Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass, and her reflection on growing up in the segregated South.
