Horizons: Summer 2024

Horizons: Summer 2024

Do Everything in Love

About this issue

Have you ever spent three years planning for something? A long-awaited vacation, perhaps? A very elaborate wedding? Your life following retirement? Maybe a career change? It’s a long time to think about something—even something wonderful— and when the big day finally nears, you can’t imagine there’s anything you haven’t thought of related to that event. Surely, in three years’ time you’ve covered it all?

As the PW gathering planning team and staff spend these final weeks preparing for our triennial gathering (August 8–11 in St. Louis), we’re swimming in thoughts about the Gathering’s theme, Do Everything in Love, so much so, we planned an issue of Horizons based on that theme. The good news is this magazine won’t spoil any surprises waiting for you in August. The even better news is, if you enjoy thinking about love as much as we do, then you’ll love this issue.

How do we love? Whom do we love? Where and when is love needed most and what are all the ways we can show our love? Join us in pondering these questions as you peruse the following pages and prepare yourself for the 2024 Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women.

We hope you love this issue as much as we loved putting it together!
